FY22 WDTS Champions Program

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) will host a two-part Champions Program for Community Colleges. The first part of the program will be a virtual meeting on August 15–16, 2022. The second part which is an in-person program will be fully supported by BNL once the onsite access restriction has been removed for guest and visitors in the coming months.

Managers and directors from Community Colleges are invited to apply to the DOE Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) Champions Program. Participants will experience how it is to conduct research at a world-class research facility at Brookhaven Lab.

In this program attendees will spend two days familiarizing themselves with the rules and regulation of the WDTS internship programs by understanding mentors’ criteria for intern selection, recognizing the importance of WDTS internship programs and how it can change the lives of students.
